FIRM OVERVIEW
For over 30 years, Pete Enwall has served the
legal needs of his clients throughout North Central Florida from
his home office in Gainesville.
He endeavors to provide legal services to his clients in the spirit
of his Scout training from years ago: in a manner that is trustworthy,
loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, and kind.
A zealous advocate, one of Pete’s strengths is the unusual
breadth of his legal experience. In his 30-year career, he has participated
in over 80 jury trials and hundreds of trials before a judge.
Throughout his career, except for his two years as criminal prosecutor,
Pete has focused on three areas of the law:
- Marital and Family Law
- Estates, Wills, Trusts, and Probate Law
- Corporate and Business Law
Pete also has considerable experience in civil, commercial, and
criminal litigation:
- He has represented electric utility companies in a variety
of matters before the Florida Public Service Commission, personally
assisting his senior partner, William H. Chandler.
- Pete has served as corporate counsel for large companies such
as Bear Archery and Meridian Behavioral Healthcare.
- He has assisted his partners in representing the School Board
of Alachua County.
- Pete has appeared in Federal Court in matters ranging from
intellectual property litigation to civil rights discrimination,
and he has regularly included pro bono service to indigent clients
referred from Three Rivers Legal Services in his daily work.
- He has served as general counsel for the Gainesville Area Chamber
of Commerce.
Pete practices before the Federal District Courts in the Northern
and Middle Districts of Florida, in the Circuit Courts in the Eighth,
Fourth, Third, and Fifth Circuits of Florida, and in these Florida
counties:
Alachua, Bradford, Baker, Union, Levy, Gilchrist, Columbia,
Marion, Duval, St. Johns, Suwanee, Leon, Lafayette, Taylor, Dixie,
Hillsborough, Citrus, and Dade.
Pete received his B.A. in 1970 from the University of the South
in Sewanee, Tennessee, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University
of Florida in 1973. He has also completed nine quarter hours toward
a Master’s degree in Philosophy from UF.
Pete was commissioned through UF Army ROTC in 1972 as a Second
Lieutenant, and served eight years in the Army reserve. He was Honorably
Discharged in 1980.
Pete is a committed Christian and an active member of Servants
of Christ Anglican Church, which is a Bible-based church affiliated
with the Anglican Communion. He has served as senior warden, Alpha
Coordinator and vestry member.
